Windows OS has changed a lot over the years and has lost some of these great features along the way. To be honest, Windows 11 has a number of exciting new features when compared to Windows 10.
However, it also lacks some of Windows 10’s great features people are already used to. One of those features is the ability to ungroup the icons in the Taskbar.

However, you also can try it out for 30 days if you prefer. Install Start11 and launch the app. Go to the Start Menu, scroll down to the Stardock folder, and then choose Start11.

ExplorerPatcher is a small free utility addon you can install to be able to ungroup taskbar icons. It lets you personalize the Taskbar and ungroup icons for better visibility.
Mind you, this addon is still in early development, therefore, you can expect a few bugs and crashes (though this may not necessarily happen to you).
Go ahead and download ExplorerPatcher from GitHub. Install the app, and it will automatically set the Taskbar icon alignment to the left. The best part about this app is that the Taskbar icons are set to never combine by default, so you don’t really need to do anything.
However, you can force it if it doesn’t automatically launch. Right-click on the taskbar and select Properties. Click on Taskbar style and select Windows 10.
