Have you ever spent a bit of your time trying to optimise your website on the search engines? If so, this is where browser SEO extensions can be of assistance to you.
Nowadays, there are endless changes and updates to search algorithms and this means that as a web owner or websmaster, you must always look out to be able to get the best out of your online contents and businesses.
If you are a Google Chrome browser user and you want to be able to at least improve or monitor your website activities such as Search Engine Optimisation, Google PageRank, Alexa Traffic Rank, Site Link In and others, there are tones of extensions you can add to your browser that will make life easier for you.
These extensions are just some extra features added to your browser to enable you to be more efficient while managing your website. The extensions are not limited to Chrome browser alone as there are many useful extensions available on other popular browsers such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Opera and others as well.
The best part of this is that you don’t have to pay for many of these SEO browser extensions and even though they are not as extensively detailed as some of the SEO softwares on the market, they still help you do those stuff other people find difficult to do.
Many of you guys may not have even heard of some of these extensions or how to use them to get the result you need. There are lots of Chrome browser SEO extensions but here are some good ones I think can help you and they are available for free in Chrome store.
Top must have Chrome Browser SEO extensions for your website SEOs
1. SEO Quake
With over 2,000,000 downloads on Firefox, Opera, Safari as well as Chrome, SEOquake is a popular and handy analytic seo-tool that helps you obtain information about any site for a wide range of parameters such as page rank, Google index, Alexa and many others.
The extensions works like a secret intelligence agent gathering site information on all major search engines such as Google, Yahoo, Bing, Yandex, Baidu etc.
This is one of my favourite Chrome browser SEO extensions as it offers more advanced tools to quickly help you sort through and reveal your website PageRank, Alexa rank, nofollow links, keyword density analysis and web archive age. Keyword Density tool serves to demonstrate a number of times a keyword or phrase appears on a web page.
SEOquake has a parameter that highlights noffolow links. The only thing is that using this extension requires you to put more efforts as some of the tools are really comprehensive. But it definitely worth checking out!
#2). Check My Links
This is another Chrome SEO extension I find really handy when it comes to checking how healthy your website links are. Check My Links is a link checker that crawls through your webpage and looks for broken links. According to the creator, this SEO extension was primarily developed for web designers, developers and content editors.
When you are editing a web page that has lots of links, this extension allows you to check webpages for broken links or errors, identify where the link is and what error message it gives you.
For those of you guys that are more concerned about broken links on your website, wouldn’t it be handy to be able to quickly check that all the links on the page are working? Remember no search engine likes broken links! The extension highlights which of the links are valid and which ones are broken.
#3). SEO For Chrome
Chrome SEO is one of the most popular SEO extensions and it used to be known as Chrome SEO before Google asked the developer to change the name. SEO for Chrome provides SEO stats and tools that make your daily SEO tasks easier.
It provides easy access to Search Engine Optimization Tools that can help you with Competitive Analysis, Keyword Research, Backlink Checks, PageRank Checks and other daily SEO tasks.
Some of the stuff this extension does that makes it much more useful are the ability to notify you of your Google PageRank increases and decreases, the number of backlinks to your site, your social media share improvement and lots more.
It one of the top Chrome browser SEO extensions that I will surely recommend for anyone that is serious about his or her website search engine optimisation.
#4). Sorezki SEO Plus
This is another cool Chrome browser SEO extension I have tried out which enhances search engine result pages and adds additional parameters to Google Webmaster Tools and Analytics, Bing, Yahoo Site Explorer and more.
The Sorezki SEO extension upgrades Google Webmaster Tools, Yahoo search engine and Google Analytics with social activity statistics, on-page results, social media information and PageRank and search, as well as Yahoo, Bing and Google search engines with geo-location search tools, advanced metrics, anchor / PageRank scanners and more.
For those of you guys that are worried about your website privacy, they extension does not save or copy any of your browsing history. Sorezki SEO Plus is safe to use, and you can use it without worrying about others sniffing through your SEO or stealing valuable info from your accounts or actions.
Last but not the least of my favourite Chrome browser SEO extensions, SiteTrail helps you perform SiteTrail lookups on your website via right-click menu straight from your web browser.
The tool comes in handy when you want to find all kinds of information about websites around the world such as the site rank, site value, server location, site traffic, SEO statistics, site analytics and much more.
I use this tool not only to monitor my websites but also to find out more about other websites of my interest, most especially those I considered my competitors.
The tool also provides the site’s estimated value, revenue and website’s estimated page views. This extension works perfectly for me and I believe it will surely work for you guys as well if you are concerned about your website’s worth and other SEO activities.
Even though all of these SEO extensions sound really cool, you may not have to install them all as I personally do not have them all installed on my browser. But at least installing two out of them wouldn’t do you any harm whatsoever. You might even decide to install them all for a test drive after all they are all free.
The down side is that installing all of these SEO browser extensions do take up space on your browser and some times makes your browser loads few seconds slower than before. I will recommend you just try them all out and uninstall the ones you feel you wouldn’t need.
